After months of planning and re styling, Indy has done it again. Indyra Originals has relaunched her flagship store at Namaste Isle and is having a re opening celebration on Sunday 23rd August between 12 noon SLT and 3pm.

Indyra Seigo is proud to present her latest 2009 Spring/Summer *NEW* release URBAN AGENDA. Are you ready to prime your wardrobe for a safari adventure with this wild assortment of chic leopard print ? Once again, Indy lives up to her name of providing Couture Ensembles for the Fashion Conscious with this fusion of pattern accessorised with tailored lines.
The shimmering, solid trim outlines a wild print with a daring keyhole at the front of a lightweight voile top. Enhanced by a smocked empire waist creates a fitted shape. Fitted drawstring sleeves further this ultra-femme top. Includes a wide, contoured belt secured by a skinny buckle for chic contrast. Great look, snug fit. Indy Challenges Sevenstar Amat ….
With the fashion designer challenge event in full swing and various designers setting each other artistic and creative challenges:- Indyra asked Sevenstar Amat from Stitch by Stitch to create an ensemble inspired by a peacock. The finished article is shown below:-

The dress contrasts perfectly against the stark snowy background at ‘Between The Trees’. With an infusion of colour, full netted skirt and fitted bodice, this creation by Seven a unique masterpiece. The outfit was modeled at the Fashion Designers Challenge on Tuesday 5th May and is on sale now at Stitch by Stitch main store.
ELEGANCE SL & the Indy Girls
ELEGANCE SL is a female avatar contest that is promoted by the staff and shops of the BEST OF ITALIAN sim. This contest not only considers your unique physical beauty but the contestant’s sense of styling, taste, and concept of ‘Elegance’ in different situations. This is why it is such an honor for ANY contestant to be considered.
It was divided into themed events and judged according to skin, ao, dress, etc. The final score for each contestant was given based upon the averages of all the votes recieved (from the judges) for each event. The contestants were also required to wear at least one item from the sim shops on the Best Of Italian Sim.
The wonderful prizes were as follows:
1st. place winner received the cover of the BeStyle magazine and a featured article within the magazine. And a special feature on the BeStar blog, $5,000L cash, and a $5,000L Best of Italian Sim gift-card!
2nd place winner received a feature on the back-cover of BeStyle Mag, and also a special feature in the BeStyle Mag & blog. $3,000L in cash, and $3,000L gift-card!
3rd place winner also received a feature in BeStyle Magazine and the BeStar blog! Walking away with $1,000L in cash and a $1,000L gift-card!
The Grand Finale was based upon the best interpretations of what ELEGANCE, bon ton, and good taste are. The results are in!!!!
On April 24th, ELEGANCE announced Indyra Originals very own Tabata Jewell and Nemi McCoy as winners of the contest!! Tabata Jewell took home 2nd place while Nemi McCoy received 3rd! These women are talented, gorgeous, and extremely elegant in every sense of the word! I can’t begin to say how proud I am of these two Indy girls and cannot stop beaming with joy! Congratulations ladies!! We love you!

Anubis challenge for The Fashion Designers Challenge
You are a CLOTHES Designer, and you are challenged by Pushbutton Skolnick!
She is challenging you to:
“Create a severely overworn outfit, as if it’s the only outfit you own and you’ve had to repair it time and time again to maintain it. Replace buttons, patch it with different fabrics, even crudely stitch it and/or duct tape it together. Whatever resources you use to do these is entirely up to you, but it should look kind of do it yourself, no access to a tailor kind of thing. The logic behind it is up to you: Could be post-apocalyptic, could be hobo-ish, could be DIY squatter aesthetics. Your call.” – Pushbutton Skolnick.

Tattered and mended
Oh my wow do I love this interpretation! This is deconstruction at its very best. Every stitch, tear, repair looks intentional, yet functional. The contrast of skirt fabrics is the best part for me though. I enjoy the combinations of sheers, prints, perforations, satin-it all works. Anyone could easily feel like a million bucks in this rework. Move over Scarlet O’hara, a new wind is in town-and it goes by the name of Anubis Hartunian!

Beauty is skin deep
Fashion Designer Challenge, designer Nyte Vargas is Co-Owner of IEVL ~ Innocently Evil. She chose to accept her challenge before it self destructs. She received a skin creation challenge from Ina Centaur of iC – iCouture – Fashions which reads as follows:
Create a skin that could walk right out of the virtual world of Second Life (TM) into real life.
“Well, I do not consider that I truly met what she meant for that challenge. I typically make fantasy based skins and am relatively new to skin creation. I have to say that I did learn quite a bit about creating the base skin. I will be tweaking this one over time. I loved the challenge because it forced me to work outside of my comfort zone and learn things that will only improve my skills overall. “

Come to life
What I love about your Andree skin is that it is a complete departure from Nyte’s usual flow. It is a subtle beauty that is fresh and dare I say innocent! The tones are neutral, honest and sensual.
